
Sarah Buckland
Sarah is a highly skilled registered and licensed psychologist in Auckland, who approaches her work with empathy and compassion. Sarah completed her psychologist registration in New Zealand, and has worked in a variety of settings, including disability services, mental health, Ministry of Education, and ACC accredited services. Sarah works across the lifespan, in a culturally sensitive and holistic way.
Her main areas of interest include trauma, neurodiversity, traumatic brain injury, anxiety and mood disorders, parent and family support, gender identity, resilience, and grief.
Sarah works flexibly and collaboratively and uses a variety of values-centred, evidence-based therapeutic models to support clients to develop strategies to overcome difficulties and work towards their goals. Alongside therapy, Sarah offers supervision to psychologists and other health professionals, as well as facilitating training and workshops.
Beyond her professional life, Sarah is a parent of teenage daughters, and spends her spare time outdoors, coaching netball, and spending time with her family and pets.
