Fehm Hussain

Fehm is a Registered Educational Psychologist and experienced educational leader who brings over 23 years of teaching experience to her work with children, families, and schools. Across her career, she has specialised in supporting children with additional learning needs and those who experience and interpret the world in unique ways. She is deeply passionate about reframing learning differences as strengths and ensuring that every child has equitable access to high-quality education, where they feel valued, included, and able to thrive.

For the past nine years, Fehm has served in senior leadership roles, including Deputy Principal, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how schools operate, the systems, processes, and legislation that shape decision-making and resourcing. This insight allows her to effectively advocate for children and their families, ensuring that support is not only appropriate but also actionable within the realities of the school environment.

Fehm works from a holistic, strengths-based model, recognising that each child is unique and that meaningful progress comes from understanding the whole child, their strengths, challenges, relationships, and environment. She is highly skilled at bridging the gap between assessment and practice, supporting parents and teachers to translate psychological reports into practical, classroom-based strategies that make a genuine difference to a child’s learning and wellbeing.

Her extensive experience working directly in classrooms has provided her with a deep understanding of how children learn and develop, as well as the critical role that teacher relationships and learning environments play in student success. Fehm believes that supporting a child means also supporting the wider team around them, and she works collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to build cohesive, effective support systems.

With a strong foundation in both education and psychology, Fehm offers recommendations and guidance that are evidence-based, practical, and tailored to each individual. Her goal is to empower children, families, and schools with the tools, understanding, and confidence needed to unlock each child’s potential
