Filipa Tomaz

Originally from Portugal and with training across three countries (Portugal, UK and NZ), Filipa delivers cultural sensitive psychology practice, to children and their families following a playful, innovative, strengths based, solution focused and collaborative approach.With experience working in schools, hospitals and a range of community services, Filipa looks to maximise assessment and interventions across home, school and community to increase the sustainability of plans and access to natural supports.


Trained in Triple P and the Incredible years programmes, Filipa enjoys working with children and their families in a way that is practical, relatable and respectful and with the child voice and best interests at the very centre. Filipa looks forward to working with your family and can deliver assessments and interventions in English and Portuguese. 


Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, nature walks, time in and by the ocean, music and playing basketball.

Qualifications: 

  • MA in Integrated Psychology (Portugal)

  • MA in Organisational Consultancy (UK)

  • MA in Educational and Developmental Psychology (NZ)

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Psychology Practice (NZ).

  • This year, I am also embarking in a Postgraduate Diploma in Neuropsychology (NZ).
