Jezebel Machado
Jezebel is a Clinical Psychologist based on Auckland’s North Shore who works with adults, adolescents, children and families. Her practice is grounded in psychodynamic and relational therapy, with a focus on exploring the underlying patterns that shape how people think, feel, and connect with others. She is known for creating a safe and reflective therapeutic space where clients feel both understood and supported in making meaningful change.
Colleagues and clients alike describe Jezebel as thoughtful, attuned, and compassionate. She brings a balance of insight and warmth, helping people not only address difficulties but also recognise their strengths and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Therapy approaches
Jezebel has particular expertise in trauma-informed practice, attachment dynamics, ADHD and autism assessments, and the parent-child relationship. In therapy, she integrates approaches such as relational psychodynamic therapy, short-term dynamic interpersonal psychotherapy, and parts-based work. When working with children and adolescents, she also draws on creative methods such as sand tray therapy to support expression and emotional growth.
Assessments:
In addition to therapy, Jezebel provides structured psychological assessments, especially in the areas of ADHD and autism. Her assessments are designed to be clinically robust while also sensitive to the lived experience of each client and their family.
