Dr Ting Huay Ooi
Dr. Ooi is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in health psychology and culturally responsive care. She holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Wright State University (APA-accredited) and has worked across diverse healthcare settings in New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States.
Her clinical expertise includes psycho-oncology, behavioural cardiology, neurogastroenterology, and trauma recovery. She provides tailored, evidence-based psychotherapy to support individuals navigating the emotional impact of chronic and acute medical conditions, empowering them to build resilience and move toward meaningful change.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, and Malay, and with lived experience of cross-cultural transitions, Dr. Ooi integrates cultural understanding into her practice. She also offers psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification, ADHD evaluations, and pre-surgical readiness, alongside delivering targeted behavioural interventions for lifestyle changes such as smoking cessation and chronic condition management.
