Toni Douglas
Toni is a registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. She has experience providing individual and group therapy in schools and the public health system. Toni has supported children, young people and families with physical and intellectual disabilities, neurodiversity, low vision, anxiety, grief, chronic pain and health concerns.
Toni uses non-directive, relational psychotherapy to connect with young people and their families, to meet them where they are at. Toni works at the pace of the child and supports families to strengthen relationships in order to support their children through their unique challenges and developmental needs.
In therapy with children, Toni uses play, art, music, sports, sand tray and imagination to engage children and explore their inner worlds. For older adolescents, therapy is often oriented in talk therapy, while maintaining the opportunity for play, creation and expression.
Outside of work Toni enjoys kayaking, art, music, cooking, and spending time outdoors with family.
